Introduction

Eden Shopmobility is a scheme which provides battery powered scooters and manual wheelchairs to help people of all ages who have limited mobility to do their shopping and to explore and enjoy the wide range of beautiful locations in Eden.

The scheme operates under the umbrella of Age Concern Eden and is run by a team of volunteers, who will assist everyone to gain maximum enjoyment from the scheme.

Location and Availability of Equipment

Powered scooters and manual wheelchairs are available for hire from our Resource Centre in Sandgate, which is open from 9am - 4pm Monday to Friday.  Equipment is available on either a daily or longer term loan basis.  Delivery/collection to and from your destination can be arranged.

Click here for details of charges.

We also have equipment based at numerous locations and tourist attractions throughout Eden (listed below). Please contact the centre involved to either book your equipment or enquire about opening hours. Some locations are only open during the Summer season but in the majority of cases we will endeavour to provide equipment.
